Tour Dates Destinations Today’s Activities Meals Day 01 Arrive in Beijing Upon your arrival in Beijing, you local guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to explore the capital city of China or just relax and recover from jetlag.
\ Day 02 Beijing The highlight today is a full-day excursion to the breathtaking Great Wall, one of the most remarkable feats of mankind. In the afternoon you will visit the Sacred Road. It is part of the Ming Tombs complex. It is a long, straight path flanked by statues of ancient government officials and animals. Attend a welcoming Peking Roasted Duck dinner.
B,D Day 03 Beijing Today you will visit Tiananmen Square, and the Forbidden City that is the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace. This was the palace for 24 Ming and Qing Dynasty emperors who ruled China for over 500 years. Later you will visit the spectacular Temple of Heaven, which is the site for the most important spiritual obligations of the Emperor.
B Day 04 Beijing/Xi'an Explore some Hutongs in Rickshaw to see the common people’s life in ancient Beijing before taking a flight to Xi’an.
B Day 05 Xi'an Todays activities start with visiting the Qin dynasty wonders -- Terracotta Warriors. If you are interested, you can drop in to the factory where you can witness the whole process of making the duplicates of the Warriors and Horses. In the afternoon, you will visit a Buddhist pagoda, Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Bell Tower, a stately traditional building that marks the geographical center of the ancient capital. Still you will have a tour to the City Wall that is the worlds largest and most complete ancient castle of military facilities.
B Day 06 Xi'an/Dunhuang Take an airplane to Dunhuang. You will visit Hechang Military Depot, used to store food and clothing, steel, fodder during the Han dynasty (206 BC--220 AD) when they fight with the nomadic Xiongnu, and the Great Wall of the Han Dynasty, build for defending the nomadic Xiongnu during the Han Dynasty.
B Day 07 Dunhuang/Turpan Marvel at the Mogao Grottoes, one of three noted grottoes in China and also the largest, best preserved and richest treasure house of Buddhist art in the world. Later you will hear different musical voice when you slide down its slops of the Echoing-Sand Mountain. Encircled by the mountain, there is Crescent Lake so called because of its shape. Ride a Camel in the dessert. Take an overnight train to Turpan.
B Day 08 Turpan Transfer you from the train station to your hotel. You will stroll around the eye-catching Grape Valley. In the afternoon, you will visit Karez Well. This irrigation system of wells connected by underground channels is considered to be one of the three great ancient projects in China. And then, you will stop at the Jiaohe Ruins, the site of ancient Chinese ruins found in the Yarnaz Valley, 10 km west of the city of Turpan.
B Day 09 Turpan/Urumqi In the South Mountain Pasture, you can rent horses to ride around the grassland. Later you will experience Kazak nomad life in the Terai Camp, have a cup of milk tea and taste some really local food.
B Day 10 Urumiqi/Kashgar Take a boat cruise on the Heavenly Lake (Tianchi Lake). Surrounding the Heavenly Lake (Tianchi Lake) are snow mountains, glacier forests and grassland alpine lakes, featuring a vertical natural landscape belt. Fly to Kashgar. B Day 11 Kashgar/Urumqi You will take a tour to the biggest mosque in Xinjiang Province, Etigar Mosuqe, and the Abakh Khoja Tomb. In China the tomb is better known as the Tomb of Xiang Fei, the only Uygur concubine among the 41 wives of Emperor Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).
B Day 12 Urumqi/Beijing Take a flight back to Beijing. You can spend the rest of time at leisure.
B Day 13 Depart Time is your own until our guide escorts you to the airport for your next destination.
