Arrive in Beijing. You will meet your local guide and transfer to your hotel.  Relax and enjoy the remainder of your day in the city or in your hotel.

Start your tour by visiting Tiananmen Square, the largest public plaza near the center of Beijing.  Then go off to the Forbidden City which was the imperial palace during Ming and Qing dynasties for 500 years. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries, it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities such as the Hall of Clocks and Watches.

Today you will tour the Great Wall, one of the most remarkable feats of mankind, which was built to protect the northern borders of the Chinese Empire from Xiongnu attacks.

Today you’ll visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for a good harvest. Then you will take a Hutong Tour by riding aboard a rickshaw pedicab through the narrow lanes of the old residential quarters. You will have the opportunity to take a glimpse of the local residents’ daily life. After, you will board a flight headed to Xi’an.

Visit the Shaanxi History Museum, which chronicles 5,000 years of the history of the Shaanxi Province.  Then take a tour of the Forest of Stone Tablets, which holds over 3,000 steles, and then the well-preserved City Wall, a representation of ancient Chinese wisdom.

After breakfast, visit the Terracotta Warriors, widely regarded as the eighth Wonder of the world.  Then go to Gao’s Courtyard (includes Shadow Play), which is a traditional place where you can enjoy some of the best entertainment of Chinese history.
